Frequently asked questions.

How fast can my award go live?

Within a few days. You configure categories, criteria, prices and forms yourself in the admin interface — or we set everything up together in an onboarding session. No agency service is required for every change.

Is Laureo GDPR-compliant?

Yes. Hosting in the EU (or on your own server), data processing in accordance with the GDPR, configurable legal texts, and consent at registration and submission is documented. Data processing agreement included.

Do you take a commission on entry fees?

No. Payments run through your own Stripe account directly to you. You only pay the platform price — regardless of how much revenue your award generates.

What does self-hosting mean in practice?

You receive Laureo as a Docker package and run it on your own infrastructure — including database, PDF invoice rendering and a backup concept. We deliver updates and security patches through the maintenance agreement. Ideal if your organization rules out cloud services.

Can we switch from an existing award platform?

Yes. We migrate categories, users and historical entry data during onboarding via import. The best time to switch is between two award seasons — that's exactly what the season-based pricing model is built for.

What happens to our data after the award season?

You decide: renew, export everything (Excel, CSV, ZIP including all uploads) or have it deleted. Your data belongs to you — there is no lock-in.
